NJ Career Door

The Writing Company was retained to implement a strategic and integrated Career Resource Marketing Campaign by North Jersey Partners, an innovative regional partnership of public, private, and government organizations collaborating to deliver programs, training and support to ensure the continuity of a skilled workforce to drive economic growth in North Jersey.

Our work on this project, called NJ Career Door, focused on increasing knowledge of the State of New Jersey’s career development information web sites: (NJNextStop, NJCan, LearnDoEarn and Making it Count), through the creation and promotion of new microsite:  NJCareerDoor.com. Our firm's successful array of promotional activities included:

  • Design and development of NJCareerDoor.com

  • Facebook advertising that delivered 19, 796,483 total impressions and 2,662,534 unique impressions.

  • Cable Television advertising that included creation of four NJ Career Door promotional spots. These spots were aired via a northern New Jersey media buy that impacted 849,783 targeted households (16-20 year old demographic). The spots were also posted to a dedicated NJ Career Door YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/njcareerdoor).

  • Print media buys targeted to high population areas in northern New Jersey with a circulation of 918,315.

  • Design and production of print collateral that included a NJCareerDoor bookmark distributed to North Jersey public libraries and to students in the largest high schools in northern New Jersey's eight counties.

  • Development of a self-running CD-ROM featuring NJ Career Door presentations, speakers notes, public service ads and videos. This CD was distributed to guidance counselors, principals and libraries in the three largest high schools in each of the eight counties in the northern New Jersey region. Total enrollment in these schools totaled 51,300 students.

  • Coordination of presentations for more than 1,500 educators, guidance counselors and administrators in northern New Jersey.
